Howdy Friends,
I am still painting! But my life has changed quite a bit since my last eNews. I now live in Arizona, and along with painting, I have been writing songs, performed a few concerts of my original music, I'm enjoying old and new friends, and living well.
I’m in a small town called Yarnell. It’s in the high desert of Arizona, at about 4500 feet, and is a fabulous place to enjoy country living, paint, make music, play and follow my creative heart.

Art Update
The landscape here is filled with granite boulders, remnants of volcanos long ago. Along with the people, the boulders are another reason I fell in love with this place. I’ve done quite a few paintings of them. Sometimes I feel sort of like Richard Dreyfuss in Close Encounters as he sculpts his vision of Devil’s Tower over and over – and I’m going to continue painting boulders until I’m satisfied. I have a 30x24 inch canvas of partially painted boulders on my easel now - loving it!

Music Update
This past Fall I was encouraged and supported to create an album with some older recordings of my songs. The album is titled Love Songs - A Retrospective. It is available for purchase here. One of my pastel paintings was used as the cover art. The original pastel sold, but there are giclée prints available.
I'm making my way back into the recording studio to work on a new album very soon.

The last two weeks of April you will find me back in San Antonio, TX as I will the caretaker of the Whistle Stop Corner while my Dad, sister Susan and her partner Ugur, travel to Turkey for a 10 day visit.
In the future Patty's eNews will include whatever creative ventures I am pursuing. There is painting, recording, a gallery and other creative pursuits in my future.
